Your Most Qualified

Jun 14, 2025

I watch the news with my mother regularly. I had taken a break from technology for over 2 years and I am just now getting involved with it again and I am having to relearn many things, especially with web design. Everything evolves and advances and you have to master new versions of software. Well, my visits with my mother allow me to catch up on the news because my technology break included no TV in the house. So I get to see multiple news channels, and multiple approaches to news coverage. And one thing I notice with every channel, no matter what direction they lean with their political preferences, is they present the opposing party in a destructive light. The photos they use for people are horrible photos, to make them look old, sick, mean, unkept, weak and unqualified. They pick the worst photos for people, when they are on the opposing team.

When you are online, photos are shared out everywhere. Once a photo hits the internet or web, it is free game. It may be copyrighted, but we do not have complete control over it and what people do with it.  And photos being public can be both exciting and dangerous for us. Exciting because we get publicity and free promotion. Dangerous because, people can be cruel and unkind, and use our images with malicious or derogatory intentions. Which is why, we do not want photos to go out to the public domain unless you feel safe and are in your best form. If we have a bad photo for any client, we are not doing our job. We are here to make you look exceptional in every way possible. If you do not look your best, we need to restrategize, reshoot, and reshare and make sure no photo is a bad photo for you. Because those images will be shared, they will be passed around, and they last a long time.

The reality of people taking our image and passing it around without our permission is a scary one for most people. And as individuals who are just sharing with their family and friends, it feels like an invasion of privacy. But for businesses, organizations and professionals, this is how they get known. This is how they get followers, customers, members, and clients. Sharing our images is how we promote ourselves.

Groundwork wants your success and because of that, we want you to look your most gorgeous, your most stunning, your most intelligent, your strongest, and your most qualified when we are promoting you. The way you look matters, on both photo and video.
