“We have all these people, who are at a high-level, not just saying we’re at a high level, we’ve been to the big shows, we’ve done all these things, we’ve won world titles, and we’re all in the same building.”
-Bill Crawford, Owner of San Diego Combat Academy, Strength and Conditioning Coach
We started Groundwork Promotions working with combat gyms, and it was a devastating learning experience because we did not know our market and clientele first. We did not research them, because it was an opportunity that fell in our laps and we took it. However, despite the painfulness of it, it paved the way for a beautiful set of experiences with other combat gyms and opened up our lives to the fitness industry in general. Paul and I are so passionate about fitness, and to be able to make our living taking care of people with Groundwork, and incorporate fitness into our professional lives is a dream.
When I met Paul, he was a frisbee flying athlete. He roller bladed everywhere, he rode his bike all around town, and he was fearless at trying new things. I am not as fearless. I am not as fearless as he is. He swims in the ocean now, he rides his bike for miles, he runs everywhere, he is a training machine. I want to be like him in this way, but I am 55 now, and battling so many other things and I look at his pictures, his six-pack and I am inspired by his fearlessness on the athletic field. To just decide to go to Deep End Fitness and jump in the water, and not once worry about anything. Paul excels at fearlessness with athletic training.

If I could start all over again in my 20s, I would have been a professional athlete, and fitness would have been part of my professional career, no doubt. I am so lucky, that even at 55, it can happen now. You are never too old.
