Wouldn’t it be great if we could have someone care about us, everyday, everywhere we go.
One of our clients has a “Days of Caring” where they have volunteers doing social service for many people. If you are in need, they are there helping you out. I try and imagine what it would feel like, if real life could be that way. If when we needed help, someone was there. I never had a close family unit, so I do not know what it is like to have family always there. I also have never had neighbors or friends come together for me, or a church come for my aid. I have spent most of my life keeping things to myself, and not sharing my situation or thoughts with anyone. So the thought of people coming together for me, it is overwhelming to imagine. I would probably not believe it was real.
I know it is an ideal that most people do not think is possible, but Groundwork Promotions (Paul and I) really wants to be that kind of company. We want profits, don’t get me wrong, but we want relationships and support and mutual success on all levels. Both Paul and I want to be masters of what we do (although we do much different things) and we are both dedicated to the health of ourselves and others in the working relationship. We have turned people away, because the mix was hurting our health.
We had some of the unhealthiest lessons when we first started out in 2012. We both became very sick from the situation, and we had a few more of those wake-up calls when we worked downtown. But we learn from them and we continue keeping in focus the life and working relationships we want. If meeting with us makes you sick, something is wrong. If working together depletes your system or you are spending more money than you are making, then something is wrong. We always want you to be energized from this work. We always want both of us benefiting.
Groundwork Promotions wants to be a force of good in each and every working relationship. We want you happy, fulfilled, making profits, and creating an outstanding situation for your staff, employees, and customers. We want to model ourselves after United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, and aspire to make every day a “Day of Caring” in our world.
