I was a star track athlete in college and a bodybuilder when I was younger. I was very ambitious, and if I’d had access to the internet and all the skills I have now, I would have promoted myself. I would have built a career as a professional athlete. It would have helped me overcome pitfalls I was facing. I was also a foreign language person and teaching myself new skills all the time. I was often unsatisfied with work opportunities all around me, and I could have promoted myself online and created a company or found a position that better suited me. The internet, along with marketing and promotions, empower us and open up completely new possibilities. You get to have a vision for your life, you get to create that vision, and then actualize that vision using online communication. You have social media, you have websites, you have search engine tools, you have so many methods of creating your own brand, your own messaging, your portfolio, and you can create yourself in whatever form you desire. You can create a reality for yourself. It’s remarkable what opportunities there are for professionals.
Groundwork Promotions has worked with athletes, artists, writers, and professionals of different industries. They are people who do not work for a company, but they work for themselves. They see something, they want something, and then they come to us and ask for help making it happen. They create their entire online presence with us, and then ask for help learning to manage it. They empower themselves.
When it comes to the Self-Creation Process, I have one main goal at Groundwork. It is to enable people to be powerful agents in their own lives, where they can do anything they want. Where they have the tools and the power to create themselves and what they envision. This is what I want and have always wanted in my own life, and I share the skills with others so they can do the same. For me, mutual empowerment is the aim for everything and something we strive to create in our relationships at Groundwork.
