“Something magical happens when we come face-to-face with ourselves, when we read ourselves, listen to ourselves, and see ourselves in our best form.”
“Most of us have no idea who we are.”
Being online is a struggle. Everyone feels “opponents” online, no matter what we do. There are adversarial relationships everywhere. In the marketplace, we are all competing and trying to be successful. We are all trying to win. Which is another reason our promotions process can be so valuable, because it works to bring out not just your best form, but your uniqueness, and what makes you stand out and apart from everyone else. Again this process can be magical and I’m going to admit, I’m still coming to understand the extent of the magic possible when we come to know and live who we are professionally. I see it. I feel it. I feel myself getting closer to it.
I have been working with multimedia my entire life, and know it can change your brain and your thoughts. I have used multimedia in a learning environment and online for over 15 years. I understood from the beginning how powerful media can be, but it wasn’t until we founded Groundwork Promotions that I started understanding how powerful it can be, when we are the creators. When our thoughts, our vision, our images, and our stories are the subject. I began seeing this when I was the person we used in the beginning to practice with and I was the subject of the filming and documenting. I was the person developing and creating myself, and I was the person voluntarily going through the process of knowing myself on camera. As I watched myself, listened to myself, experimented with myself, and allowed myself to express what mattered and what I envisioned, every part of my life changed. I realized, I had never really known myself before. Unfortunately, I never finished the process. I was stalled and had to postpone the completion of it. I had to put my life online, on hold, and take care of other things.
Right now, I am preparing to enter into the process again and find out what happens when we stick with it, engage with it, and complete it. I have something I want, and I’ve been wanting it for years. I am getting ready to commit to the Self-Creation process again with multimedia, and see how far I can take it. It is not complete for me. I want to see what’s possible and this time. I want to know who I am in my best form and then keep going. I don’t want the process to end.
