Paul Holze, President of Groundwork Promotions, competed in a triathlon this past weekend and won the big medal. We have been working hard to incorporate our own self-creation process into our lives, and his was to win this competition and incorporate everything he preaches at Groundwork into his performance. He trains hard daily and he loves working with our clients, and especially loves our work with the athletes and fitness industry. I am still jealous because Paul is training the way I want to train. I am getting closer to having the health to train again. He is actually texting me every morning, with voice messages and written messages, encouraging me to get to the gym and recover completely.
He wrote to me today, and I am going to share it, because it is a statement that needs to be my mantra. He planned on taking 12 hours for the competition, and he was on pace until he got nausea. He ended up taking a break on the ground, regaining his stomach and he thought to himself,
“I can either lay in bed sick, or do a marathon sick.” And he chose the marathon.
