I had an idea early in the birth of Groundwork Promotions, to use local music and lesser known bands to provide music for our videos. It was a cool idea, and you could go around Tucson and other places and listen to the local music. There are some really talented people out there, who would love to have their music heard. I liked the idea but there were two main problems:
- I am not a nightclub person.
- I did not have the energy to go listen to bands.
I still sometimes think about what it would be like, to have local talent perform for marketing campaigns and social media. When we make a video for a client, to have original music from talent that is wanting to share their music with a larger audience.
The beautiful thing about promotions, you can do so many creative things. You can use photography, video, music, art, any number of expressive approaches to communicating messaging and branding to the audience. If you want your message to be understood and remembered, music can make the difference.
Groundwork Promotions wants to be a creative power in its work. I want to be a creative power in my work. It’s GroundworkStyle.
