Paul went on a trip to Alaska and when he returned, he had pictures from a helicopter trip he took to Denali, which is the highest mountain peak in North America. In the picture, he is walking, his arms are spread open and he is alone with snow all around him. We had this photo on the top of our website for awhile, and we never explained why.
Paul felt “unlimited possibility” when on this mountain. He looked around and knew he was on the highest peak, and he felt elevated and elated. It’s something you don’t forget. Paul tries to live this way and work this way. He is such a loving person, and when it comes to Groundwork Promotions, he wants everyone to feel they are on the highest peak, every time he works with them. I’ve been friends with Paul for years, and he always brings a state of mind that communicates “unlimited possibilities.” So we took that picture and put it on top of the Groundwork website.
There are these special places on earth and when you visit them, you lose awareness of yourself. You feel outside yourself or your own body and you feel free. These places change us, they alter our reality. They make us see possibilities that are normally not accessible to us. Paul and I feel our friendship is like this. We have withstood some really challenging events that would have destroyed most people and their relationships, but Paul and I withstood everything and surpassed our own expectations of what we were capable of. And these experiences altered our view of work, our view of running a company, our view of promotions and marketing, of media creation, and of working with clients all around the world.
What if every day could be like visiting Denali? What if every day could be elevated and full of elation? What if every day could be us, bringing our best game to our work and losing ourselves in the joy of everything? And what if, we could give that experience to our clients? What if Groundwork Promotions could open up “unlimited possibilities” to the people we work with?
